My personal war against indiscipline! Strategy ?

So I have had a relatively good week! That's the truth! But did I do enough to secure a weight loss? In general do I do enough? I lost  the plot twice this week, the last time was mainly out of my control but do you detect a recurring Theme here? I mean I consider myself a good cook, at least the good I cook is healthy and always with the slimming world mantra! I exercise at least twice a week, so why isn't the weight dropping off?

I'm a great believer in the thought that gies " if you keep on doing what you have always done you'll keep in getting what you've always got? Isn't it so? So by default I must be doing something not quite right! If I was at work I would be talking investigation, reports and service improvement plans!!!! So what's next!? I feel that I am at a bit if a cross road, I mean something has to give, surely!

This Sunday I listened to a programme called super soul Sunday, it's produced/ introduced by Oprah Winfrey, very interesting! There were two speakers , Iyanla Vanzant  and Tony Robbins in  that order! Now I found it all very interesting and quite uplifting acty, because iyanla talked about having a vision! Being still and letting that vision come to you without the daily racket of life. She told the story if how she took her grandson to the optician because she wanted to make good on a 2 for 1 offer, the optician asked her where her glasses were, of course she said that she didn't have any because she doesn't need them, so the optician said that she probably does but the eyes have a way of adjusting  so that it makes the poor sight look half decent or words to that effect, so her point is that why settle?  You need to be able have a clear vision in order to to achieve your goals at least this  is what I took from her talk!

Mr Robbins continued along the same vein, he said when you have a vision you have to cut to the truth,  there are 3 elements, you need to have a strategy!  Enough said, but having said that, how many of us take time to make strategy? I found what  he said next very interesting, 2) he said we have our story, ( excuses?) our set of beliefs that control our ability to get a good strategy - the inertia of your own story is what kills you! Ok this is where I got a bit irritated because this where he ' picked' on overweight people ( easy target?) to make his point, even though it was a good point the impact for me personally was slightly reduced! I have to say  so he went on to say how  he could walk a block from where they were and would come across 5 gyms yet people will say that they have tried this and they've tried that and it didn't work?  I mean really ?
So you are stuck with your desire and nothing gets done!
I can relate!
So the last thing he talked about was 3) the state!  Me likened this to being in love, saying how you would do almost anything fir someone you are in love with, but the later on you can almost scream at them wen they ask you to du tag same thing in Later years! So he says " do what you did in the beginning and there won't be an end!
So armed with this nugget if wisdom  I go back to my crossroads??! So what is a girl to do? It's clear that my story is well developed - going out, indisciplined, out if my control - I need to change this story!  I need to change what I do?! Only when I have done that can I rethink my strategy!  It may be as simple as going back to the beginning, or maybe I need to chose a different path!  Who knows?!
